Toronto FC become only the second MLS team to align with the You Can Play Project, an initiative "dedicated to ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation."
A good cause, and a good opportunity to remind everyone that Torsten Frings is fantastic. More importantly, there were a lot of other MLS teams that aligned with other LGBT-intiatives around Pride Week and TFC was not one of them, which disappointed a lot of fans. It's nice to see the club get on the right track when it comes to supporting causes like this.
Toronto FC becomes the first Canadian soccer club to speak on behalf of all athletes without discrimination and on behalf of the You Can Play Project. And, they do it in a number of languages.
